| China starts 2nd phase of moon probe program |

Chinanews, Hangzhou, Dec. 26 – China has started the second phase of the moon probe project. However, at present, there is no definite plan as when China will send man to land on the moon, said Ye Peijian, chief designer of Chang'e No. 1 moon probe satellite.
He made the statement in a speech, titled "Chang'e No. 1 and the Deep Space Exploration", given at the Zhejiang Institute of Science and Technology recently.
At the meeting, Ye donated the latest pictures taken by Chang'e No.1 to the Zhejiang Institute of Science and Technology. All these pictures have not been published yet. The pictures include the first 3D image of the moon, the first bar image, some pictures about craters on the moon and several plane maps taken on and above the moon.
China had finished the first phase of its moon probe project, in which China sent a satellite to orbit around the moon. During the second phase, China will try to let Chang'e No. 1 land on the surface of the m[1] [2] [3] 下一页
