Chinanews, Nanchang, Dec. 10 – Archeologists recently found an ancient tomb at a construction site in Qingyunpu District, Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. The tomb is said to be the best-preserved one ever found in Jiangxi. Archeologists presume that it was built in the Six Dynasties Period (220-581), also called the Liuchao Period. The discovery of several Chinese characters inside the tomb might confirm the existence of the ancient Haihun City.
The tomb is kept in a good condition with no trace of being raided before. It is a fairly large structure, covering an area of 40 square meters. The tomb bears a special construction structure. It is built into an arch shape with stone bricks all carved with fine patterns. Archeologists presume that the tomb was built between the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220) and the beginning of the Jin Dynasty (265-317), also called the Liuchao Period by some historians. So it has a history of 1,200 years, said Li Guoli, curator of the Nanc[1] [2] [3] 下一页
