| More Chinese students study in U.S. |

Chinanews, Shanghai, Dec. 14 – According to latest statistics, there were 67723 Chinese students studying in the U.S during the 2006-07 academic year, increasing by 8.2% compared with the last year.
Our reporter has learned from the Institute of International Education that students studying in U.S. are mainly postgraduate students, occupying 70.8% of Chinese students studying in US. American teachers hope more Chinese students will come to US for undergraduate studies.
Statistics also show that 18% of Chinese students in US study business, 15% study engineering and more students study English.
